SEIU 1199 Launches Warshaw Group Mobile Canvassing Software on iOS in Multiple States
Influential Workers Union Using Mobile Validity Software in New York, Massachusetts During Political Campaigns.
NEW YORK, NY – Warshaw Group announced today that SEIU 1199, the largest local Union in the world, is using Warshaw Group products in the field to execute their political canvassing efforts. SEIU 1199 has been conducting their Political Outreach project using Mobile Validity since 2008, and the process has greatly enhanced the scope of voter information gathering and reporting.

Service Employees International Union is comprised of healthcare, private services and property services workers. The Union boasts membership of 1.8 million across the country, making it the second largest worker’s Union in the United States.
SEIU 1199 is currently using Warshaw Group’s Mobile Enterprise Platform, Mobile Validity, to perform political canvassing using mobile devices in New York and Massachusetts. Efforts in the field have helped the union to generate market targeting data to encourage growth of union-based business needs and to solidify their canvassing efforts across state borders.
Warshaw Group and SEIU1199 have been partners since 2005, and the process of going mobile for the union began on Windows handheld devices. Soon after, the process evolved to Blackberries, and presently, iOS handhelds. Over the course of the recent Presidential campaign efforts, hundreds of Mobile Validity devices were used in the field by SEIU field workers, with devices submitting thousands of encounter reports.
